DSPE-PEG-Amine, MW 5,000 is an amphiphilic PEG polymer with a hydrophobic DSPE chain and a terminal amine. DSPE- PEG is a widely used phospholipids-polymer in drug delivery applications. The hydrophobic properties of the DSPE allow for the encapsulation and congregation of other hydrophobic drugs. The hydrophilic PEG chain increases overall water solubility and useful in drug delivery system. The free amine can react with activated NHS esters.
